Online Cat and Dog Registration

Residents can now purchase cat and dog licences online. Payments for licences may be made using Visa or MasterCard using the link below.

All cats and dogs over the age of 12 weeks which reside in Whitby must have a Town of Whitby Animal Licence.

Animal Licenses and inexpensive and are for your pet's protection and safety. When you register your pet, you will receive a pet identification tag which is to be attached to your pet's collar. If your pet is lost, the identification tag is used by Animal Services staff to reunite you and your pet.

Animal Licence fees help support the return of lost pets to thier homes and helps the Town to adopt many homeless pets to new families every year.

About our Animal Services Centre

The Town of Whitby operates the Animal Services Centre which provides animal care and control services to the citizens of Whitby and shelter services for the Town of Ajax. The Animal Services Centre is located at 4680 Thickson Road North in the Town of Whitby, one kilometre north of Taunton Road on the west side.

Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sundays and Statutory Holidays: Closed

After Hours Emergency Services

After hours emergency animal services are limited to serious situations involving humans that are threatened by animals or animals that are sick or injured. If you have an after hours emergency please call 905.655.0283.
