  • Yellow collection areas – curbside pick-up from January 15 to 19
  • Blue collection areas – curbside pick-up from January 22 to 26

Visit or check your Whitby Waste Management Calendar to determine your collection area.

Preparation Tips for Collection

  • Remove plastic bags from trees
  • Remember the 7 a.m. set out time
  • Set Christmas trees out on a cleared portion of your driveway
  • Trees frozen/buried in snow banks will not be collected
  • Cut trees in half that are longer than 3 metres (10 feet)
  • Remove any tinsel, decorations, wire, stands or bags

Residents who miss their collection date can drop off trees at the Region’s Waste Management Facility located at 1640 Ritson Road North in Oshawa, Tuesday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Disposal fees will apply.
