2018 Parks and Trails Construction Information Session

The Town has a number of playground upgrade and trail construction projects planned for 2018.

The Town of Whitby has 125 parks, 15 splash pads and 77 kilometres of trails. As part of the proposed 2018 budget, two playground upgrades and three trail construction projects have been identified.

Residents are invited to view and provide feedback on the 2018 projects. These include:

  • Carson Park (55 Carson Avenue): playground replacement;
  • Country Lane Park (3145 Country Lane): playground replacement and park improvements;
  • Brooklin Lions Trail: extensions to St. Thomas Street (north and south of Highway 407);
  • Hydro Electric Power Corridor Trail: Dundas Street to Nichol Avenue; and,
  • Lynde Creek Trail: Burns Street to Michael Boulevard Opening.

The Parks and Trails Construction Information Session details are as follows:

When: Drop in on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, drop in between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
