Get to know Durham Region's farmers and buy local at the Whitby Farmer's Market. Fresh produce, vegetables, honey, meats, baked goods are available every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from May to October. The Market is also part of Heritage Day on the third Saturday in September.
The Whitby Farmer's Market has offered fresh produce and hand-crafted items since 1997. The Durham Region Farmers' Market Association provides this opportunity to local farmers, growers, producers, artists, and crafts people supporting the region's economy. Space is rented by the week or season and new vendors are always welcome. Local non-profit and church groups can also participate in their fundraising sales at the market.
